Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a therapy that helps with rumination, PTSD, trauma, reducing emotional pain, increasing abilities to handle distress, accepting reality, mindfulness and living in the moment without fear. DBT also helps those who may engage in self harm, eating disorder behaviour and addiction. DBT helps create a life worth living free from suffering.
At Dialectical Living we pride ourselves in making learning fun and interactive! We use ppt presentations, videos, role plays, break out groups, games, white boarding, home practice teams and group discussions. Our DBT group is psychoeducational which means you are learning beneficial life skills and practicing them in your lives. We are LGBTQ+ friendly.
This program uses a binder of materials provided by Dialectical Living with all the documents, ppts, articles, worksheets etc (no cost for binder/pdf) as well as a book called "High Conflict Couple" by Alan Fruzzetti, Ph.D. You will need to purchase a copy of this book. Here is a link on amazon
