Instructor: Rachael Dodgson


From bold lines to subtle detail, stone lithography offers a wide range of mark-making possibilities. Participants will learn to draw and paint onto the surface of a finely ground limestone, which is then chemically processed before printing. Perfect for anyone who enjoys drawing in graphite or charcoal.


About the Instructor

Rachael Dodgson is a Toronto-based artist, educator, and arts worker. A recent graduate of York University’s MFA program, her current research explores printmaking as a way to create bold, immersive assemblages of surface and abstract imagery.

Rachael has participated in solo and group exhibitions and artist residencies, and has received grants from the Ontario Arts Council. Passionate about building community, she has spent the past decade teaching visual art and facilitating arts programming and events throughout the city.
