Who Is Cynthia Knight?

Cynthia Knight is a writer, story editor, showrunner and former development executive with decades of experience in film and TV. She is the co-creator and showrunner of the critically-acclaimed, award-winning dramatic comedy series Mohawk Girls which airs on CBC in Canada and on Peacock in the US.

Cynthia has worked on countless series and films as a writer, story editor, creative consultant, consulting producer and showrunner. She presently has 7 television projects in development with top North American production companies and her feature film The Otters is set to be shot in September 2025.

Cynthia is also a highly sought-after teacher and consultant who mentors emerging writers and teaches courses and workshops about writing for television, including her popular online course The Secrets of Writing Hit TV Series.
