Sunday Unconducted Meditation and Readings Service
Overview
Our meditation group is composed of members and friends of Self-Realization Fellowship, and international, non-profit religious organization founded by Paramahansa Yogananda.
Sunday Schedule:
10:00 am - 10:45 am: Unconducted Silent Meditation
11:00 am - 12:00: Readings Service: Included in the service are reading of passages from the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita, with scriptural interpretations and other writings by Paramahansa Yogananda. There are short periods of silent meditation as well as devotional chanting and prayer for others.
Arrival Information:
You may arrive between 9:40am and 10:00 am for the unconducted meditation, or at 10:45 - 11:00 for the Readings service. We encourage you to arrive a few minutes early in order to settle in before service begins.
Location: 202-4480 West Saanich Road, Royal Oak Shopping Centre
Advanced registration is not required. There is no fee for attending however donations are appreciated.

Beginners Welcome
It is not necessary to know anything about meditation prior to attending. If you are new, we suggest attending the 11:00 am Sunday Service where the periods of meditation are shorter.
About Self-Realization Fellowship:

About Paramahansa Yogananda:
Author of the best-selling spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi, this beloved world teacher came to America in 1920 from his native India, and was the first great master of yoga to live and teach in the West for an extended period (more than 30 years). He is now widely recognized as the Father of Yoga in the West.

How do you want to get there?
Unconducted (Silent) Meditation
Join us for silent meditation from 10 am - 10:45 am. Please arrive a little bit early to get settled before the meditation starts.
Intermission
Take a break or continue meditating if you joined us for the silent meditation. If you're arriving for the Readings Service an Usher will be available to open the downstairs door during this time.
Sunday Readings Service
Join us for our Sunday Readings service, which includes short periods of meditation, devotional chanting, and readings from the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. This service includes readings and interpretations from Yogananda from the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita.
