SURGE x OFI Seed Fund Workshop

The OFI Seed Fund supports ocean-related projects that offer high potential for innovation success but need small amounts of funding to help them move forward — and grow. OFI has partnered with the SURGE science innovation sandbox to support trainees in preparing strong applications for the Seed Fund. Together, we are organizing a half day workshop to introduce the Seed Fund and provide prospective applicants with more information about the program, tips on writing a strong application, and feedback on your ideas and ways to align them with OFI’s strategic priorities.

The event will be held June 15th via Zoom. Researchers from across Canada are welcome to join, regardless of application status. The event will include a deep dive into design thinking and how to define problems from a human perspective. Participants will also receive guidance on the Seed Fund application. Participation does not guarantee a successful application but it will increase your chances, and provide helpful coaching on grant writing for other opportunities as well.
