Surviving to Thriving - A Youth Poverty Reduction Community Forum
Overview
The Surrey Poverty Reduction Coalition (SPRC) is excited to bring the sector together again for our next gathering: Surviving to Thriving - A Youth Poverty Reduction Community Forum.
About the Theme
This year's forum is focused on youth poverty reduction and leadership. We hope to bring local speakers and youth together to share stories and inspiration on how they navigated poverty or help alleviate its impacts. The event will include discussion activities on the topic so the sector can connect and learn from each other while sparking new ideas and collaborations. Speakers and panelists to be announced soon!
Who is Surrey Poverty Reduction Coalition (SPRC)?
The SPRC is a multi-sectoral, non-partisan coalition of representatives from a range of organizations and government agencies working towards reducing poverty in Surrey. Over the past decade, dozens of local organizations and people have worked in partnership with, or in support of, the SPRC to undertake research, advocate on key priorities, host community events, and conduct pilot projects.
The SPRC is guided by its current strategic plan: COMING TOGETHER: A Collaborative Approach to Ending Poverty in Surrey.
