The Art of Healing Touch: A Partnered Introduction to Thai Massage & Energy
Overview
Thai Massage is a dynamic and meditative practice rooted in Eastern medicine, blending acupressure, assisted yoga-like stretching, and rhythmic rocking to support balance and release. Often described as “yoga done together,” this modality works along the body’s energy lines (sen), inviting circulation, relaxation, and greater ease in both body and mind.
Rather than force or effort, Thai Massage emphasizes listening — using presence, breath, and body weight to create sustainable, nourishing touch. In this workshop, participants will work in pairs, learning to both give and receive while cultivating sensitivity, responsiveness, and grounded connection.
What to Expect
Partnered Bodywork:
Learn rhythmic pressure using hands, thumbs, elbows, and feet along the body’s energy lines (sen).
Assisted Stretching:
Explore gentle, supportive stretches to open the hips, shoulders, and spine.
Rhythmic Rocking:
Experience fluid movements that calm the nervous system and encourage deep release.
Safe Body Mechanics:
Learn how to give massage effectively without strain, using alignment and breath rather than force.
This workshop is accessible to beginners and enriching for experienced practitioners alike. No prior massage experience is required — just a willingness to learn, practice, and explore together.
