About this event
The Distillery District is an internationally acclaimed village of brick-lined streets and dozens of vibrantly restored Victorian Industrial buildings. The district was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1988.
Join us for a FREE, public walking tour that will be a good experience for anyone: whether you’re 8 or 80 years old, and whether you’re a curious local, solo traveller, backpacker, part of a small groups of friends, or a newcomer.
ABOUT
Beginning in front of the main pedestrian entrance of the Distillery District (at the intersection of Mill Street and Trinity Street), your guide Alex Rascanu will tell you about key aspects of the neighbourhood history starting with the founding of Gooderham and Worts Distillery in 1832, and will discuss about the urban design, the historical buildings, and government policies that have contributed to the neighbourhood's flourishing. The interactive tour will conclude at the Balzac's Coffee Roasters coffee shop that's located within the Distillery District.

Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 10:00am. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes.

This tour will end at Balzac's Coffee Roasters (1 Trinity St, Toronto, ON M5A 3C4), where you can enjoy coffee, tea, and/or snacks, and spend some more time to speak and connect with fellow tour participants.
