Overview

In the context of SAAM, this zine workshop explores healing as personal and collective through art and words, centering care and community.

In this zine workshop, and in the context of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we want to explore together, how healing, while deeply personal and unique to each survivor, is also profoundly communal.

We invite you to express through art and words how we can build healing cultures, attitudes, and practices that make space for all our intersections, holding care for our wounds and joy for our strength.

We’ll be hosting this workshop on different dates at all three campuses so that everyone has a chance to join.

Surrey Campus: January 27, 12:30pm to 2:00pm (Room TBD)

Burnaby Campus: January 28, 2:00pm-4:00pm, SFPIRG Lounge, SUB 1410

Vancouver Campus: January 29, 5:30-7:30pm, Room HC1315

*This workshop is a collaboration between the SFU’s Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office, SFPIRG and the SFSS Women’s Centre.
