“The Playground” Expression Circle: Singing, Movement & Connection

Hello, good humans. 🌞

Let's take a moment to step back from the heaviness of life — the news cycle, the brokenness, the constant pressure to engage — and rediscover the joy of play. The Playground is an expressive, judgment-free space to reconnect with your childhood curiosity, creativity, and genuine human connection through music, movement, rhythm, and presence.

Think of it as a fusion between dance, mindfulness, and creative improv, wrapped in the spirit of childhood wonder. Together we’ll make sounds (no singing experience needed!), move, breathe, and explore spontaneous expression — not to perform, but to connect back into our Play-selves.

Come recharge your battery with whimsy. You'll take that fresh energy and carry it with you into the good work you're doing in the world.

🌟 What to Expect

In this playful, expressive circle, here are some examples of what we might get up to:

  • Make a “song” of spontaneous sounds
  • Embodiment activities like "expressive shapes"
  • Movement games — think Freeze Tag, Follow the Leader, Calvinball
  • Improv experiments like the one-word-at-a-time story or rhyming game
  • Wim Hof-style invigorating breathing
  • Good ol’ fashioned dance party to some Latin House or other 🔥
  • Seated eye-gazing
  • Listening to a brief passage from a spiritual teacher over soothing music
  • Practical, self-love practices like the Butterfly Hug
  • A closing circle where we hear how others experienced the space and share our own experience

Join Us!

If this sounds like your kind of space, RSVP and mark your calendar — your presence will help co-create the energy of The Playground. Invite friends, partners or anyone curious about movement, music, play, and connection.

Everything in this circle is optional and consent-based — there’s no pressure to perform or participate in any activity that doesn’t feel right. Physical contact is only for those who welcome it, and all exercises are designed to make you feel safe, seen, and supported.

Come ready to laugh, move, sing, and explore, and leave lighter, more connected, and inspired to bring playful creativity into your life.

Suggested Contribution: $15-25 (at the door).
