Randy Woods is a decades-long fixture of the Western Canadian music scene with a resume as long as a tall orangutan’s arm. His impeccable ear for music is matched by his genuine love of writing and performing with his band. Randy’s latest album, Soul Hammer, is a mix of funk, reggae, rock n roll, and R&B. Despite these seemingly incongruent threads, the album is cohesive and compelling while showcasing the best of Randy’s songwriting. The band showcases the talents of some of the grooviest players in town–Geoff Assman (keyboards), Mike Pierce (drums), Adam Streisel (trumpet), Connor Newton (sax), and Nial Cubbon (percussion).
