Cynthia Knight is a writer, story editor, showrunner and former development executive with decades of experience in film and TV. She is the co-creator and showrunner of the critically-acclaimed, award-winning dramatic comedy series Mohawk Girls which airs on CBC in Canada and on Peacock in the US.

A multiple Canadian Screen Award nominee and winner of the Writers Guild of Canada’s Sondra Kelly award, Cynthia is a highly sought-after teacher and consultant who mentors emerging writers and teaches courses and workshops on writing for television.

Cynthia presently has 7 projects in development with top US and Canadian production companies and has a feature film going into production in April 2026.
