The World Seen Through Achilles

We will be looking at different themes and parts of the world that are associated with the figure of Achilles. Each event will take a look at a specific place or theme and will unveil seldom realized manifestations of the otherwise well-known hero from the Iliad. Join me in unconvering the mysterious world that the figure came to inhabit, and ways in which he came to symbolize the beginnings of and subsequent revolutionary modes of thought in the Ancient Greek and Ancient Mediterranean world.
