Toolbox Series: Krenov-Style Hand Plane with Pierre Rousseau
By Intersections Wood Collaborative
Overview
June 13, 2026 - June 14, 2026
This plane was made popular by renowned woodworker/designer James Krenov and has a wooden body, custom shaped for a comfortable grip. The plane has a heavy, low-slung iron held in place by a wedge, adjustable with a light tap of a small hammer. Made out of hard wearing wood and used primarily as a smoothing plane, it reduces the need for sanding. It will last a lifetime!
This is a two day workshop. Each day will begin at 9:00 am and end at around 4:00 pm. The workshop will be held at Intersections Wood Collaborative at 299 10th Street E., Owen Sound.
