Tuesday Night Euchre at Henderson

Euchre and Beer! Each person will recieve one beer ticket per night - please make sure to tip your friendly Henderson Bartenders :)

The Details

Entry is $10/team per night

Each team plays four 30 minute games, starting at 7:00pm

Winners (both weekly and for the overall tournament) are determined based on number of total wins at the end of the night/four weeks followed by the number of points which is used as a tie breaker.

The Rules

1. If you order up your partner you must go alone (Make sure you set up this rule as per the Creating a Game document)

2. Stick the Dealer - if the dealt card is not ordered up and then no one chooses a suit the dealer must call trump (make sure you set up this rule as per the Creating a Game document)

3. To order up, pick up or call trump you must have at least one “natural” trump in your hand (Left Bower doesn’t count) - this is not a rule you can set on Trickster so the honour system is in place here.

4. Full points are awarded past 10: if a team wins 11-7 then 11 points will be awarded. Keep this in mind as points are used as tie breakers when two teams have the same # of wins

5. No table talk - hand ends if table talk occurs. And no texting!

6. The first team to reach 10+ points or the team with the highest # of points after 24 minutes wins. As a courtesy, if it is looking like you will not make it to 10 points, call and agree to the "last hand" before it starts.

7. Teams not fully present 7 minutes into the game must forfeit and the opposing team will be awarded 10 points. Please make sure you agree to this (as in "yes, it's 7:38 and I just arrived so we forfeit this game") and the 10-0 score is entered in the Google Sheet.

8. Scoring

a. Partnership making trump wins 3 or 4 tricks - 1 point

b. Partnership making trump wins 5 tricks - 2 points

c. Alone hand wins 3 or 4 tricks - 1 point

d. Alone hand wins 5 tricks - 4 points

e. Partnership or alone hand is euchred - opponent scores 2 points
