Overview

Workplaces can produce high achievers and dynamic team players. They can also be places where employees become regularly frustrated or annoyed with co-workers.Developing techniques to address these challenging personality types can greatly increase staff’s morale and job satisfaction.

This seminar will look at the distinction between difficult behaviour and difficult people and provide participants with strategies to respond effectively to challenging situations with a focus on assertive communication.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify common types of difficult people.
  • Understand people’s needs and motivations.
  • Deal with difficult people.
  • Recognize areas for personal development.

Presented by:

Joanne Paquette is an ICF Coach, Leadership Advisor, HR Consultant and Facilitator. She specializes in leadership development and emotional intelligence. She is an executive with over 25 years of experience managing Human Resources teams in both the public and private sectors, unionized and non-unionized work environments.

All federal public servants at all levels.
