UNDERTONES

Overview

A solo exhibition by Bisma Jay presenting a selection of new and previous works together for the first time.

Undertones is a solo exhibition by Bisma Jay bringing together past and present photographic works for the first time in one space. The show features selections from Whispers Infiltrate Through the Walls, Zenana: Of the Woman, Diaspora Mum, and a sneakpeak of a 35-panel cyanotype installation.

Across these works, Bisma explores queerness, femininity, family, and memory through domestic spaces and intimate gestures. The images move between softness and tension, drawing from South Asian diasporic life, sapphic histories, and everyday moments that often go unnoticed.
