Being an entrepreneur is something many people aspire to. Working for yourself can bring many benefits to your life like freedom, creativity and excitement. It’s seen as living the dream. There are so many positive reasons to start your own business, but there's also a shadow side that isn't revealed or acknowledged publicly very often.

Mental health concerning entrepreneurs is on the rise as our world gets faster and faster. Our lives are filled with so many possibilities, that if we’re not careful we become derailed and overpowered by the very thing we created. The amount of things grabbing our focus everyday keeps expanding, and if we're not careful we can easily become our business's bitch!

I’ve been an entrepreneur for a long time and am currently caring for my two creations, Make It and Conscious Lab. Both business were created from strong heart energy, and now as they grow and evolve they suck me dry if I’m not being conscious. When I’m depleted my whole world looks different, and it can be a dark and scary place. The worst part is, no one really understands what I’m going through - except other entrepreneurs.

This is the very reason that I’m inspired to launch this event. When we act as if everything is fine when it isn’t, we’re being inauthentic to ourselves and that can take a tremendous tole on our mental health. In the age of social media, and the pressure for females to appear as “boss babes” there is a tendency to live in a dangerous duality.

Conscious Lab was created to be an urban sanctuary for entrepreneurs to let their guard down and show up as who they truly are. When we share our authentic truth of who we truly are, magic happens.

What we reveal will heal.

I will be sharing my own experience and there will be space for you to do the same. Confidentiality, respect and trust are of the upmost importance, so please only sigh up if you understand these precious boundaries.
