What Is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, yet powerful Japanese healing technique that uses light touch to guide the body back into a state of balance and safety. By activating the parasympathetic nervous system (the “rest and digest” mode), Reiki helps release stress, calm the mind, and restore emotional equilibrium. It’s a deeply restorative practice that supports physical, emotional, and energetic healing, and it’s something anyone can learn. You do not need to consider yourself “spiritual” or be born with a special “gift.”

Who Is Reiki Level 1 For?

• Absolute beginners—no experience required!
• Those who have already received a Reiki Level 1 certificate from another teacher, but would like to refresh their skills.

Reiki Level 1 Course Curriculum:

• Learn the history and principles of Usui Reiki.
• Explore the energetic anatomy of the body, including the nervous system, auric field & chakra system + how they all interconnect through Reiki.
• Practice various styles of hands-on healing Reiki sessions for yourself and others (chair & massage table).
• Learn how to provide a Reiki Session to animals & plants.
• Learn self-care techniques to integrate Reiki into your daily life.
• Receive the Level 1 Usui Reiki Attunement & Certificate upon successful completion of the training.
• Receive a professionally printed manual.
• Cultivate a personal spiritual practice for self-care, self-reflection, manifestation and healing.

• The Science behind Reiki Energy Healing & Nervous System regulation.

• Daily & monthly rituals for self care with Reiki.
• Guided meditations, hands-on practice, and supportive techniques to help you feel grounded, empowered, and confident as you begin your Reiki journey.
• How to register with the Canadian Reiki Association as a student/associate practitioner.
• How to continue your education and develop a personal practice with Reiki.

♡ Having completed Usui Reiki Shoden – Level 1 certification, you’ve taken the first step toward becoming professionally qualified to offer Reiki services. The next step on this path is completing the Usui Reiki Okuden – Level 2 training.
