Vancouver Film Directors, Writers and Producers Meetup — Let's Get Some Films Made in 2026!

Now that we're at the end of the year, the forecast seems that 2026, 2027, and 2028 will be the rise of independent production, and we will be at the start of industry recovery due to low production over the past few years, increased opportunities moving forward, and people just wanting to make projects.

There are now clearer avenues for how to finance and produce films, from co-productions to sponsorships and, of course, the Canadian funding system.

This meetup is for those people who wish to work as a director, writer, or producer to meet up to talk about how you might make your films next year. Who knows — you might at the least hear some good advice, or at the most you might find some help/partners.

Note: Please note, this is not a restaurant, there are great drinks and pastries here but after the event, some of us may go for some late evening food at a restaurant.
