About this event

  • 11 hours

This fun event will add some excitement into your tango practice or get you started on the path to tango excellence. Our teachers are some of the most amazing dancers, teachers, and performers in the world. Some have never been here before; the others not for many years. Rather than tasking an expensive trip to Buenos Aires, we are bringing the best dancers to you! You will be able to take interersting, enriching workshops, dance with people you know and people you haven't met yet, socialize, see performances, and immerse yourself in Argentine Tango for three full days. Join us!

When you register for this event, you agree to this liability waiver:

  • A release of liability and waiver of the right to sue if any loss results from participation in the activity.
  • An express assumption of risk where the participant acknowledges understanding the nature of the activity and the risks involved, and chooses voluntarily to accept those risks.
  • A hold harmless agreement where the participant agrees not to hold the Organizer responsible for any loss that may result from participation in the activity.
  • An indemnification where the participant agrees to pay the Organizer for any losses it may suffer as a result of the participant’s participation in the activity.
  • A medical consent in which the participant agrees to be responsible for his/her own medical expenses that may result.

Can I get a refund?

No, sorry! Tickets are final sales.

Can my ticket be transferred?

Until one week prior to the start of the festival, which is Friday, April 26, at 9 pm, you can contact us at samsdancevan@gmail.com to transfer your ticket to someone else. After this time, no.

Will you balance roles?

We will track followers and leaders, and attempt to keep them balanced, but we can't guarantee it. Late registrations make it impossible to guarantee.

Are workshops suitable for all levels?

Yes, unless stated otherwise. Beginners are welcome, but should have some exposure to tango.

Are the prices in Canadian dollars?

Yes, and taxes are extra. Except for privates. Privates are priced on the website and are in US dollars.

When should you arrive for workshops?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time of each workshop to give yourself time to settle in and change shoes. The teachers will attempt to start on time.

What is common tango etiquette?

• Please follow the line of dance • Be aware of your space and don’t intrude on others • Move while music is playing to keep the flow of the dance • If you know cabaceo, you are welcome to use it, but please don't expect that from everyone • Be kind and friendly to everyone
