VCON is organized by a WCSFA subcommittee and is not, nor will it ever be, owned by a big business or corporation. For now and for as long as efforts continue VCON will be a convention built "For the Fans, By the Fans".

Is my registration transferrable?
Yes, VCON memberships (and the WCSFA membership associated with them) are transferable (that is, you can give or sell your membership to someone else if you can't use it).
To transfer a membership to someone else prior to the end of online membership sales (Sep 15), send an email to the VCON Registrar (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the full name and email address of both the person the membership was originally registered to and the person you wish to transfer the membership to. The Registrar will follow up with both of you to update the registration record with other information.
After online registration has closed, to transfer a membership you must provide the person you are transferring it to with a signed note that includes the full name and email address of both the person the membership was originally registered to and the person the membership is to be transferred to. The supplied note must be brought, along with valid ID, to the VCON registration desk where the information associated with to the existing membership will be updated and a new name badge will be created for them.
Note also that you may only directly transfer a membership to someone who qualifies for it or for another membership with the same or a lower rate. E.g., a Student membership may only be transferred to someone who is also a Student, a Senior, a Teen (13-18) or a Youth (7-12). However, no refunds are given even if the membership is transferred to someone who only qualifies for a lower rate.
If you want to transfer a membership to someone who only qualifies for a higher rate membership, you may do so but this can only be done onsite and they will be expected to pay the difference in price between the at-the-door rate for the membership being transferred and the at-the-door rate of the membership required. E.g. if you were to transfer a Senior membership to an Adult, the person claiming the membership would be required to pay an additional $15 since the Adult at-the-door rate is $65 while the Senior at-the-dor rate is only $50.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes. Send an email to the VCON Registrar (email@example.com) with your full name and the email address used to register the membership to request changes.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, physical tickets are not issued and are not required for this event. Instead, just show up at the Pre-Registration Pickup desk and present valid photo ID to claim your membership badge.
The Pre-Registration Pickup desk should be open during the following hours:
FRI: 11:00A - 8:00P
SAT: 9:30A - 8:00P
SUN: 9:30A - 2:00P
(Outside of these hours you may be able to pick up your membership badge from the VCON Operations room. Directions will be provided at the venue.)
What is the refund policy?
Memberships are not refundable but they are transferable (that is, you can give or sell your membership to someone else if you can't use it). See the answer to the "Is my registration transferrable?" FAQ for details of how to transfer a membership.
