Virtual Caregivers Death Café

By Home Hospice Association
Online event

Overview

Openly talk about your feelings, thoughts, and experiences around dying, death, grief, and loss as someone in a caregiving role.

The Caregivers Death Café is for anyone who is currently, or who has ever been, in a caregiving role. Providing care to someone who sick or facing death can often greatly impact the caregiver’s relationship with their own mortality. This death café gives caregivers the chance to openly talk about their feelings, thoughts, and experiences around dying, death, grief, and loss.

What is a Death Café?

Originating in the UK in 2010, the goal of a Death Café is to encourage conversation about the one reality we all share, but a topic few wish to talk about. The Home Hospice Association joined this movement in 2016. It holds one of the most significant community outreach positions for our chapters as it is a way in which we can move towards our mortality.
