Virtual Launch: The 2025 Ageing in Canada Survey
Overview
Canada’s ageing population continues to reshape the country’s social and economic landscape. The Ageing in Canada Survey is the NIA’s 4th annual, nationally representative study capturing the perspectives of Canadians aged 50+ as they age. It provides timely insights across 10 indicators, tracking how experiences of health, social wellbeing and financial security change over time.
Demographic shifts combined with greater longevity have the potential to shape every part of our economy and society. The choices we make and the actions we take now will determine whether this longevity dividend will translate into added years of health, independence and active participation in society – or whether rising inequality, gaps in care, and social isolation become defining features later in life. The Ageing in Canada Survey offers essential evidence to understand key differences within the older population and to guide policies and programs that help older adults age with confidence.
