Co-op students and interns offer a fantastic opportunity to bring on someone who is looking to gain experience working for an employer. The company recruiting the students can train them on a budget, and at times free and then bring them on as staff if the student fits well in the role.

The students are generally required to work a certain number of hours to graduate, and can be paid or unpaid. WSIB is covered through the University with no additional costs. This gives the business owners an excellent opportunity to test local talent, and bring on students that fit within their company culture.
