Join us for a lively conversation about Radical Inclusion, Simon Fraser University's Academic Women's new report on equity, diversity and inclusion. Based on a three-month long consultation with female faculty, and grounded in disability, anti-racist, and feminist scholarship, it argues for a radically inclusive approach to equity, diversity, and inclusion that is grounded in an ethic of care.
Hear comments from:
- Ele Chenier, Ph.D., Academic Women president and author of Radical Inclusion
- Grace Wong Sneddon, PhD, former Adviser to the Provost on Equity & Diversity and Director of Academic Leadership Initiatives, University of Victoria
- Katherine C. Aquino, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Department of Administrative and Instructional Leadership for the School of Education at St. John's University, expert on the socio-academic transitioning into and within the higher education environment for students with disabilities and post-traditional students.
- Dr. Kisha Supernant, Ph.D., a Métis and an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Alberta. She was the firstIndigenous woman to serve as President for the Academic Women's Association of the University of Alberta, which collaborated on the Diversity Gap Campaign
