The origin of the 3000 years old Nowruz comes back to Iran.
According to the narrative, this ancient national ritual is simultaneous with the coronation of Jamshid, the first mythological king of Iran. But this ceremony not only belongs to Iran, but also to all Farsi-speakers countries.
This ritual binds all the Farsi speakers and different cultures of Persian language countries like Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and… to each other. Nowruz festival is one of the most important festivals for the Farsi speaker society. This ceremony, which its message is peace and friendship originates from a “national culture” and is becoming a “universal symbol”. It is noteworthy that the influence of Nowruz not only is seen in Aryan nations, but also in other countries like America
and Canada.
Among all different ceremonies which are held all around the world, there is only Nowruz which marks its beginning with the change of seasons. Passing through the cold winter and entering the delightful spring. New earth coming up with New Year!
