Event description
What does a Just Transition look like? Visioning a green, fair and care-based future:

About this Event

Nature continues to give us signs that we must address the climate crisis now - more and more severe storms, fires and floods, food and water scarcity.

At the same time, ongoing practices like fracking and mining harm nature and people. Those least responsible for the crises are often the most affected, including Indigenous people, youth and climate refugees.

Just climate action means a transition away from harmful extractive practices and a system that prioritizes economic growth over caring for the world around us and each other. What could a better world look like?

Come and join in the conversation!

How does the need for urgent climate action and the imperative for a Just Transition align and interconnect?

How can we make sure all workers benefit from a Just Transition and are not left behind?

How can we move toward a sustainable, equitable and compassionate society?

Speakers include:

Vanessa Gray, Aamjiwnaang and Sarnia Against Pipelines
