More about the choir

The Guelph Male Choir was founded in 1997 by Roy Connolly and Dr. Murdo McKinnon motivated especially by their great love of choral singing in the Welsh male choir tradition.

A non-auditioned choir, the singers meet weekly and prepare two annual concerts, Christmas and Spring. Repertoire covers a wide range of styles and has in recent years included newly commissioned pieces. The choir, for many years, has supported the Guelph Kiwanis Music Festival through scholarships given to young musicians to further their experience in the joy of making music.
