What’s Coming in OJS 3.6: Tasks and Discussions
Overview
Launching in 2026, OJS / OMP / OPS version 3.6 introduces several long-anticipated improvements to support more flexible and efficient publishing practices. This webinar is part of a series highlighting the new features and enhancements coming with this release.
In this session, we’ll introduce the new Tasks and Discussions feature in OJS 3.6, designed to bring greater flexibility and adaptability to the editorial workflow. This feature streamlines collaboration and task management throughout the editorial workflow. With Tasks and Discussions, you can:
- Create tasks for any stage of the submission workflow, either from scratch or using pre-built templates.
- Track progress and monitor completion, with visual cues highlighting the latest activity.
- Automate task initiation at specific workflow stages to save time and reduce manual steps.
Join us to see a live demonstration of this feature and engage directly with PKP developers to ask questions and discuss future directions.
This webinar will be recorded and shared with the public. The hosts will disable microphones and video screens, and there will be opportunities for questions and comments. AI bots are not permitted and will be removed from the meeting.
