Where Community Meets Connection

By Immigration Partnership

Overview

The session will focus on strengthening our community through human connection.

In September, Waterloo Region Community Foundation (WRCF) hosted a session with Genwell that was focused on strengthening our community through human connection. WRCF has arranged to bring them back to conduct a workshop with people who have been invited through the Children and Youth Planning Table (CYPT), Immigration Partnership (IP), and WRCF.

The session will be facilitated by Bobbie Breckenridge, Director of Programming at Genwell, and will provide information and tools about advancing and growing social infrastructure to leaders that are already invested in this work.

Join us to:

- Learn how social health and human connection strengthens communities and improves health and well-being

- Get practical resources to support their own ability to connect with others, and also to support community initiatives

- Collectively explore ideas to promote greater connection in our community and how those might support folks in Waterloo Region

We will also be asking those who attend to assist us in determining if this session would be of value to share as part of a larger learning opportunity open to members of CYPT and IP in the fall of 2026.
