Event description
Guided hands-on session to explore why we all should care about (ocean) data management.

About this Event

This guided hands-on workshop will explore why research data management is important, how to manage your own data and what resources are already out there to help you better manager your work. The workshop is aimed at ocean researchers (PhD and Postdoc level), students (Ocean Sciences, Information Management, Marine Management) and librarians, but we will welcome everyone who is interested.

Some items we will be talking about are:

- The research data lifecycle

- FAIR data principles

- Data Management Plans

- Dirty data etc

On the previous day a high-level overview of Atlantic Canada's ocean data management initiatives, available infrastructures and resources, will be provided in a related workshop. Registration for this event, however, is separate! If you are interested in a bigger picture overview before you dive into the nitty-gritty details of (ocean) data management in this workshop, register using the following link.
