Winter Art After Dark: Shadow Puppet Workshop

Organized in partnership with the Art Gallery of Mississauga and led by local artist Yen Linh Thai, participants will design and assemble their own shadow puppets using pre-printed parts that can be mixed and matched, or create entirely original designs. Watch your creations come to life as they're projected using overhead projectors, creating colourful images and silhouettes.

From 5:30 pm onwards, participants are encouraged to head outside to Celebration Square to experience the Winter Art After Dark projection mapping exhibition on the library.

This drop-in style workshop is perfect for children ages 5 and up with their caregivers, offering a playful introduction to projection art that connects to the larger exhibition happening outside. Materials provided.
