Winter Solstice Walk

Join us for a peaceful Winter Solstice Walk on Sunday, December 21st from 6pm - 8pm at the A Rocha Ontario Centre (1440 Westover Road, Millgrove, ON).

For many Indigenous peoples, the winter solstice marks a sacred moment to honour the natural rhythms of creation when plants and animals rest and people, too, rest and renew their spirits. At this event, we’ll enjoy a family-friendly walk in the early night followed by tea and shared stories around the campfire. Bring your own lantern to light the path. Feel free to create a homemade one. Come ready to slow down, listen, and celebrate the beauty of winter darkness together.

Adults and families are welcome to participate. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult.
