December 13, 2025 - December 14, 2025
This workshop will focus on specific techniques used to create hanging ornaments with long delicate finials as a featured component. Topics will include safety, wood selection, tool selection, sharpening, design considerations, turning techniques, making wire hangers, and finishing. Learn how to make the finial turning process easier with the use of simple homemade jigs. Each participant will have the opportunity to turn three different style ornaments (snowman, inside‐out, birdhouse), each featuring a delicate finial. An overview of other ornaments featuring elegant and graceful finials will ignite your enthusiasm to pursue making more ornaments. Ornaments make great gifts for family and friends!
