February 7, 2026 - February 8, 2026
In this 2-day workshop, Carl Durance will guide you through the process as you learn how to use a lathe to create a vast array of unique jewellery, featuring natural wood colour and grain, wood laminations, and stabilized wood.
Topics will include safety, wood selection, tool selection, sharpening, design considerations, sizing, and finishing.
A variety of turning techniques will be included such as indexing and offset‐turning. A number of jigs can be used in the process; both commercial and shop‐made jigs will be demonstrated.
