In this workshop series we are diving in to the world of invasive species!
About this event
Eat your weeds! For the first session of our 'Working with Invasives' series, our outdoor educator Reid takes a deep dive into Garlic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata). We'll be learning how to identify it, proper management strategies, and how to prepare it into yummy dishes! There will be samples to try, recipes to bring home, AND an opportunity to help remove some invasive species at our beautiful site.
This workshop will take place at the Humber Arboretum, located at Humber College North Campus.
About the Humber Arboretum:
The Humber Arboretum consists of nearly 250 acres of public gardens and natural areas located in the Humber River watershed in North Etobicoke. Connected to Humber College North Campus, it exists as a unique tri-partnership between Humber College, the City of Toronto, and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). The Humber Arboretum is free to visit and offers a variety of programming to both Humber College students and the general public.
