Yamadori Workshop - Pines

Yamadori Workshop - Pines

By DOMINIC ETYNKOWSKI

Overview

A workshop where you can dig up your own tree and grow it as a bonsai.

What to expect: The area we will be harvesting bonsai material from is a section of private property. The soil is mainly sand/coarse gravel. It is largely populated by Scott’s pine and Eastern White Cedars, but does include some spruce, rowan, aspen, poplar, maple, birch, and cherry. Participants will be able to collect 4+ trees as well as sheets of fine moss that grows in the area.

Once registered, participants will receive an email outlining expectations, details of how to dig, recommended tools/equipment for the workshop, the address of where we will be meeting, organizer contact information as well as instruction on aftercare and winter storage of your trees.

Introduction & Orientation begins at 10am!

No such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes. The event will go on 👍

*Returning Yamadori Hunters: If you have already participated in one of my workshops and would like to attend this one, please email me for a very generous coupon code before purchasing a spot.
