Your Poetic Voice: A 4-Week Workshop
Overview
“My job is just to write what I need to write." - Adrienne Gruber
What do you need to write?
In this four-part writing workshop, we'll look at a range of poetic styles and voices. We'll talk about what you want to do with your poetry and how you can dig deep into your own life and imagination. We'll discuss branching out from engrained habits and when it's worth sticking with what you know and love.
Through prompts and exercises, we'll create poems of our own. If you choose, you'll receive feedback on your work from peers and the workshop leader.
Every week, I'll provide you with free opportunities to submit to outlets that accept poetry, so we won't only be writing as an exercise. These are poems you might get published!
This course is suitable for all levels, whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out.
