Our FREE 8-week virtual & in-person training program PAYS you to attend 4-weeks of workshops and 4-weeks of work experience with an employer
YOUTH employABILITY PROGRAM

Connecting Youth and Work

Our 8-week FREE government funded online training program is designed to help youth aged 15 to 30 develop the skills and receive the necessary training to be able to land a good job.

Participants are PAID an hourly wage while attending 4-weeks of workshops and also during a 4-week work experience placement with a local employer!


WHAT DO WE OFFER?


  • Youth Works is a 8-week program, combining 4 weeks of $PAID workshops and training with up to 4 weeks of $PAID work experience with one of our local employer partners
  • Virtual and in-person workshops including: interview skills, resume & cover letter preparation and a variety of topics to help you find and keep a job
  • Short-term certificate training to get noticed by employers and improve your employability
  • Ongoing one-on-one support from our youth employment services team to help you achieve your employment goals
  • $$$ Completion bonus available $$$


ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?


  • Ages of 15-30 (inclusive)
  • Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person
  • Eager to gain new skills, acquire work experience and land a job!
  • In need of support to develop employment readiness and overcome various barriers to employment
  • In need of assistance to strengthen your employment prospects, overcome hurdles posed by a disability, or break through barriers as a member of a marginalized group
  • Live in the Great Vancouver Regional District
  • Attend workshops Monday to Friday, from 10am to 3pm, with sporadic days until 4pm
  • The Youth employABILITY Program is NOT suited to youth taking a break from school and who will be returning back to school full-time upon completion of the program.
  • Please note that participants will need to attend some in-person workshops and one-to-one appointments at our North Delta location (11861 88th Avenue, Delta) if they live within a reasonable 30 to 60 minute commute to our offices
