Canada’s young people are entering a labour market defined by uncertainty, rapid technological change, and growing inequality. Many are struggling to find meaningful early-career opportunities that match their education, skills, and ambitions. At the same time, fulfilling Canada's economic growth targets requires developing a future-ready workforce and robust talent pipeline for Canadian industry, with many businesses currently struggling to fill in-demand roles.

What to expect:

In this critical webinar, the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) will unpack their latest research on the state of youth unemployment in Canada. You'll hear directly from ICTC's Senior Research & Policy Analyst, Erik Henningsmoen, on the long-term risks that young people are facing when entering today's job market. You'll also hear from ICTC's Senior Industry and Ecosystem Engagement Advisors across Canada to examine the unique realities of these issues from coast to coast.

We'll also look at solutions like work-integrated learning (WIL) and how bridging the gap between education and employment can set young Canadians up for success in entering the job market and help support business growth.
