Tamara is a senior corporate communications and public affairs professional and expert on corporate reputation management, issues management and crisis communications. During her 20-year career, Tamara has worked for and advised dozens of organizations on these topics, including political candidates, cabinet ministers, mayors, First Nations Chiefs, and CEOs and VPs, in both the private and not-for-profit sectors. Clients have included: Chevron, FortisBC, Best Buy, Tsawwassen First Nation, City of Vancouver. She has been a lead advisor on countless issues and major crises.

Wendy is an experienced executive with more than 20 years of global experience. Wendy has held leadership positions as Controller, CFO and COO in the IT, Not-for-Profit and Healthcare sectors. Amongst her key responsibilities were to be the Chief Privacy Officer since 2001 at multiple organizations. She has lead the development of Privacy and Data Management Programs to ensure effective privacy and data policies and processess enabling companies to achieve their business objectives. Wendy is passionate about privacy as a value-added driver of brand equity and business growth.

Some of the largest breaches of privacy and data - and as a result corporate communications crises - in history occurred in 2017:

- US Insurance giant Equifax (143 million user's personal information including names, Social Security numbers, and addresses were stolen).

- Ride-sharing giant Uber underwent a data breach revealing the personal information of over 57 million users and drivers.

- A study conducted by IBM and Ponemon found that even breaches with minor disruption can have accumulated costs of up to 6 figures for every minute of the attack.

- IBM also concluded that the inability to retain customers had serious financial costs totalling $2.6 million on average for less than 1% of customers lost.
