For TVCC clients with disabilities, and a sibling/friend,12 yrs +

Join the TVCC Youth team for a fun and creative zine-making workshop where youth will learn how to design and create their own mini-magazine from start to finish!

Whether you are into drawing, writing, collage, or all of the above, this is your chance to express yourself, share your ideas, and explore DIY publishing. No experience needed - just bring your imagination!

This program will support participants in communicating with other youth in a fun and creative manner. We will share simple tips and techniques to personalize zines as well as praticing doodling, colouring and decorating skills.

All abilities welcome! Participating in this workshop offers clients a space to create new friendships, socialize and meet peers, and learn new recreational skills. We will also talk about writing and doodling as a powerful tool for youth to share their stories and process challenging experiences.

In this program, youth will:

-Meet and interact with other TVCC youth

-Build upon existing social skills through connection with peers and social activities

-Foster self-awareness and practice skills for independence

Participant Criteria:

-TVCC clients & a sibling/friend,12 yrs +

-Interest and willingness to participate in social and group activities

-Able to participate safely in group activities; participants are welcome to have a support person present to assist them

-Able to follow along with a group with or without accommodations
