What is included with my admission ticket?

Admission includes entry into the event, your own take home Zoobrew sampling mug + lanyard, access to samples from local breweries, wineries, and distilleries, access to our incredible on-site food trucks, and all of the other amazing surprises Zoobrew has to offer!

Can I bring my young child or infant to Zoobrew?

Accepted Answer

No. Zoobrew is a 18+ event and a valid photo ID is required for entry. Guests arriving for Zoo Brew accompanied by children or infants will not be admitted. No refunds will be provided.

How do sample tickets work?

Accepted Answer

All beer, food and other onsite goodies can be sampled by purchasing sample tickets onsite. Sample tickets are $1 each and sold in packages of 20. Each sample ranges from 2-4 tickets, but food and cocktails can be more. A sample of beer is legally 4oz, which is 1/3 of a bottle of beer!

Are the animals still visible during Zoobrew?

While Zoobrew is primarily a beer and food event, guests will have the opportunity to see many of the animals throughout the zoo during the event. However, please note that the animals have their own schedules and may not be visible during the entire evening.

Does the event accommodate guests with accessibility requirements?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Zoobrew is accessible for guests with disabilities, including designated accessible parking and wheelchair-accessible routes throughout the event. Please contact the event organizers in advance at arkproject@buildingourzoo.com for more information.

What time does alcohol service end?

Zoobrew runs from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with last call for alcohol samples at 10:00 pm.

Yes, Zoobrew is a rain or shine event and will be held regardless of the weather. Please dress appropriately and be prepared for outdoor conditions.

Is there parking at the zoo?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is free overnight parking available at the zoo for Zoobrew. However, parking can fill up quickly, so we recommend arriving early or using public transportation or ride-sharing services.

Can I bring my own sampling glass?

Accepted Answer

No, outside sampling glasses are not allowed at Zoobrew. However, you will receive a sampling glass with your admission ticket that can be used throughout the event.

Will there be any activities or entertainment for non-drinkers at Zoobrew?

Yes, Zoobrew usually features a variety of activities and entertainment options for non-drinkers, including food trucks, live music, and animal exhibits.

Will there be Zoobrew merchandise available for purchase at the event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Zoobrew offers event merchandise for purchase, such as t-shirts, hats and other memorabilia available for purchase in the Zootique.

Are drink or food samples included in my admission?

Drink and food samples are NOT included in the ticket. However, sample ticket packages can be purchased in sets of 20 tickets for $20 to be used throughout the event!

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Accepted Answer

Zoobrew tickets typically sell out in advance. But, if there are any remaining, a limited number of walk up tickets will be sold at the door for $35. However, to ensure your spot, it's recommended to buy your tickets beforehand.

Are outside drinks allowed at Zoobrew?

Outside drinks are not permitted at Zoobrew. The event features a variety of food and beverage options for attendees to enjoy.

Can I take photos during Zoobrew?

Accepted Answer

Can I bring my pet to Zoobrew?

With the exception of service animals, pets are not allowed at Zoobrew. This policy ensures the safety and comfort of all attendees and the animals in the zoo.

Can I smoke or vape during Zoobrew?

No. The Edmonton Valley Zoo is a smoke and vape-free attraction to ensure the comfort and well-being of all attendees and animals.

Can I bring a backpack or a bag to Zoobrew?

Bags and backpacks are allowed, but will be subject to inspection upon entry for security reasons.

Are there ATM machines available at the event?

Yes, there are ATM machines available on-site for your convenience to withdraw cash if needed.

Can I bring my own reusable water bottle?

Accepted Answer

Yes, bringing an empty reusable water bottle is a great idea to stay hydrated throughout the event. Water refill stations are located in the Entry Plaza and Saito Centre.
