Central Alberta First (CAF) is a collaborative regional partnership uniting businesses, municipalities, post-secondary institutions, and economic development organizations to strengthen and grow Central Alberta’s economy. Through its business-led approach, CAF works to identify real challenges and opportunities facing local industries and translate them into actionable strategies that support long-term economic resilience.

At the core of CAF’s work is the BREWD (Business Retention, Expansion & Workforce Development) initiative—one of the most comprehensive business engagement efforts in the region—grounded in direct input from hundreds of local businesses. This ensures that economic priorities are shaped by industry, for industry.
