Thibault THIBAULT
Thibault THIBAULT (he/they) has been making and exhibiting work for almost 20 years both in the US and abroad. Since coming out as queer and trans, Thibault was inspired to share his story, and use their art to heal himself and others. His work and activism have been featured on Good Morning America, in The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, LA Weekly, W Magazine, ArtNews and San Francisco Magazine.
In addition to exhibiting as an artist, Thibault has served as a Graduate Advisor for the School of the Art Institute Chicago and the California College of the Arts, a podcaster and moderator, and an as arts writer for various publications including their newsletters, Art Date and transport. Thibault received their MFA from the California College of the Arts in 2011, a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2007 and a BA from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2003.
Most recent shows include an exhibition with Col Gallery in San Francisco in November 2024. Past solo exhibitions include with Dreamsong Gallery in Minneapolis (2024,2022); Fahrenheit Madrid in Spain (2020); Casa Lu in Mexico City, Mexico (2020). Other recent shows include group exhibitions with: Eleanor Harwood, San Francisco (2024); Good Mother Gallery, Los Angeles (2023); The Pit, Palm Springs (2023); Personal Space, Vallejo, CA (2023); Sotheby's x Jerry Gogosian, New York (2022); Spring Break Art Fair, Los Angeles (2022).
