How to use the Eventbrite iPhone app

Use the Eventbrite app to browse popular events or search for events by category, location, and time period. Find something you like? Tap the heart icon to add it to your “Likes” tab, follow the event organizer, or register and view your tickets.

Find events to attend

1. See recommended and popular events in the Home tab.

The “house” icon (in the app footer) is your Home tab. Tap the city location (under “What’s good in”) to enter a new city and update the list of events.

TIP: Allow location services on the iOS device (Settings > > Eventbrite > Location) for the app to recognize your current location.

2. Browse by category on the Home and Search tabs.

• Home — Scroll down the page to see events by category. • Search — The “magnifying glass” icon (in the app footer) is your Search tab. Use the “And I’m in the mood for” option to choose a category.

3. Search events and filter results.

On the Search tab, set the following: • Search for… — Any keywords related to your interests or a specific event. • I want to go out — Set to “Anytime” by default, choose between All, Today, Tomorrow, This Week, This Weekend, and “Choose a date…” • In — Set to “My current location” by default, choose from “Popular locations” or tap “Where?” and enter a different location. • And I’m in the mood for — Set to “Anything” by default, choose an event category. Click “Find things to do!” to see the list of events. Then click the “filter” icon (top-right) to sort results by relevance, date, and whether the event is free or paid.

Like events, share events, and follow organizers.

1. Like events from the Home tab, Search tab, and event listing.

Tap the “heart” icon next to an event to add it to your “Likes” tab (the “heart” icon in the app footer).

NOTE: Liking an event is not the same as registering to attend an event and does not guarantee a ticket to the event.

2. Share events from the Home tab, Search tab, or event listing.

• Home — Tap the “up-facing arrow” icon. • Search — Tap the “up-facing arrow” icon. • Event listing — Tap the “three-dot menu" icon (top-right) and choose “Share this event”.

NOTE: Sharing options vary by device and past history of shared options used on the device. Common share options are email, text message (SMS or MMS), and social platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and WhatsApp.

3. Follow organizers to receive updates on upcoming events.

Tap an event to visit the event listing. Then scroll to the “Organizer” section and tap “Follow”. Click “Ok!” to receive updates when new events go live or choose “Maybe later”.

TIP: Manage organizers you follow by visiting their event listings in the app or from your Eventbrite profile (the “person” icon in the app footer). Go to eblink{Email Preferences=>https://www.eventbrite.ca/account-settings/email-preferences target=_blank} on desktop to manage email notifications for your Eventbrite account.

Purchase tickets

1. Tap Tickets/Register (on the event listing).

TIP: “Tickets” shows for events that require payment; “Register” shows for free events. However, some event organizers choose to use ‘registration’ terminology instead of ‘ticketing’ terminology for their paid (at-cost) events.

2. Select a quantity of tickets. Then click Order Now/Register.

3. Enter required information and tap Pay Now/Register.

If you logged in with your email and password, some information autofills from your Eventbrite profile (“person” icon in the app footer).

4. Receive your tickets and order confirmation.

Access your tickets in the Eventbrite app (tap the “ticket” icon in the app footer), save them as an image, or add them to Apple Wallet. Order confirmation emails are sent to the email address entered during registration and the event organizer.

Find tickets and edit your profile

1. View tickets and registration information.

Tap the “tickets” icon (in the app footer) to view tickets to upcoming and past events. Then choose a ticket to see registration information, event information (date and location), add to calendar, view the event listing, save the ticket as an image, add to Apple Wallet, or show the QR code for scanned entry at the event.

PRO TIP: Swipe right to view additional tickets in an order with more than 1 ticket.

2. Contact the event organizer.

Tap the “three-dot menu” icon (top-right) to share your ticket, add to Apple Wallet, or contact the organizer. • Cancel your order — You can eblink{cancel a registration for a free event=>https://www.eventbrite.ca/support/articleredirect?anum=3243} on desktop (not in the app). • Request a refund — Use the “Contact Organizer” option (in the “three-dot menu” icon) to request a refund or log in to your Eventbrite account on desktop to request through the eblink{Tickets=>https://www.eventbrite.ca/mytickets} page.

3. View and edit your Eventbrite profile.

Tap the “person” icon (in the app footer) to view and update the following: • Profile image, First Name, and Last Name — you can eblink{change your account email address=>https://www.eventbrite.ca/support/articleredirect?anum=3251} and eblink{password=>https://www.eventbrite.ca/support/articleredirect?anum=3421} on desktop (not in the app). • Notification Centre — Updates from organizers you follow and registered events. • Settings — Set your Primary City, toggle the “Calendar Sync” option, and Manage events (download eblink{Eventbrite Organizer=>https://www.eventbrite.ca/l/Organizer-check-in-app/} to manage events). • Support — Visit the Help Centre or suggest app improvements. • About — See the version of the app you’re using and reference information like the eblink{Eventbrite Privacy Policy=>https://www.eventbrite.ca/support/articleredirect?anum=8478}, eblink{Terms of Service=>https://www.eventbrite.ca/support/articleredirect?anum=8477}, eblink{Cookie Statement=>https://www.eventbrite.ca/support/articleredirect?anum=7504}, and other acknowledgements. • Logout — Log out of the app. You’ll need to log back into the app for a tailored experience and to access ticket information for registered events.
