The Canadian Mineral Processors Society (CMP) is non-profit group made up of operators, academic and vendors who focus on students and networking in the mineral processing, mining and petroleum industry. This organization promotes exchange of ideas and mentorship of local educational institutions.

We are pleased to invite you and your colleagues to attend the 14th Annual Conference of the Canadian Mineral Processors AB/NWT/NU region to be held in Fort McMurray on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.

The CMP conference has provided a forum for discussing best practices and the latest improvements in mineral processing technology. With typical attendance of 100 operators, educators, students, vendors and consultants, this event provides opportunities abound in networking, knowledge sharing and personal development.

CMP Offers a venue for essential networking especially for Engineer professional development, a forum to present and learn.

The 2017 Alberta, NWT & Nunavut Regional CMP Conference will feature discussions and information on operating plants, describing plant start-ups and improvements, application of new or new to industry technologies, characterization and process mineralogy in optimization and design opportunities to showcase current states and advances in mineral meet companies who work on improving efficiency, focus on innovation and environmental responsibility.

Join us for presentations on improvements in oil sands equipment and operations. With Learning Sessions, Keynote Speakers and Lunch Buffet.

This year’s program will include technical presentations from all sectors of the industry and will conclude with a panel discussion at the end of the event ( check back for updated agenda ).

ABOUT Canadian Mineral Processors (CMP)

Nationally, CMP is organized across the country into ten Regions with a Representative from each Region having a seat on the Board of Directors. Regions include: Newfoundland/Labrador, Maritime, N.W. Quebec, Montreal, N.E. Ontario, Toronto, Lake Superior, N.W. Ontario, Central Ontario Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta/NWT/Nunavut and British Columbia/Yukon.

Each region hosts at least one Technical Conference and Regional Board Meeting each year, which may include a Mine/Mill tour.

One critical priority of the regional groups and Technical Conference is to invite the instructors and students from the regional mineral processing educational institutions. This promotes new interactions and networking between new students coming into the industry and the operators and vendors. Our branch is pleased to invite the students from the local Keyano College, University of Alberta, University of Calgary, N.A.I.T and S.A.I.T students free of charge.
