About York Region Educational Services and this Opportunity:
ill Public York Region Educational Services (YRES) is a not-for-profit organization that provides individuals in the vicinity of York Region with free or affordable educational resources in a safe and supportive environment that inspires, motivates, and helps set the foundation for personal growth. We are thrilled to host an information session booth at the Aurora Farmer's Market and we are seeking volunteers that are interested in supporting this event.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Assist with setting up equipment and technology as directed by the event supervisor
- Greet families with hospitality and enthusiasm
- Answer any inquiries related to YRES and offered programs
- Communicate with parents and other staff members
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the site
Time commitment:
- Info session launches on days May 25th, June 1st, and June 22nd from 7:00 am to 1:30 pm
- Your commitment must be by the day
Session location: Aurora Farmer's Market (49 Wells St, Aurora, ON L4G 1S9)
A great candidate for this position will possess the following:
- Must be 14+ years of age
- At least 3 months of experience working with children, preferred
- Communication and leadership skills
- Self-management skills and the ability to demonstrate responsible, ethical, and professional conduct – YOU are the role model
- Enthusiasm and passion towards working with children
- Collaboration skills
