Join us in June for a tour of select Mahone Bay area homes and gardens.

This much-loved annual event delights, with an insider’s view of the coastal lifestyle enjoyed here in one of Nova Scotia’s prettiest towns.

The self-guided tour features homes of heritage beauty, updated for today’s lifestyle.

Garden gates open for you, too, to explore and enjoy spring abundance.

Each tour property has a story to tell.

Bring your friends and family to enjoy a day - or a stay - in The Bay!


Ticket Price $30 each + small fee from Eventbrite

Tickets are available up until June 9th at 2 pm or while supplies last.

The Tour Guide Map/Ticket includes directions and is the ticket you require to enter tour properties. Upon arrival at each tour site, friendly volunteer hosts will check your ticket and provide information on the properties.

This is a self-guided tour. A vehicle will be required to reach some properties on the tour, while others are within walking distance of downtown Mahone Bay.

Please note that shoes will not be allowed in the homes. Bring a bag to carry your shoes.

Photography in the homes is not permitted.

You are welcome to visit all the sites in one day or spread out your visits over two days. Each property can be entered only once. Please respect the tour operation hours of 10 am to 5 pm.

On Saturday June 8th, there is a separate Spring Luncheon event at one of Mahone Bay’s famous Three Churches in Mahone Bay. They are serving gourmet chicken salad, croissants, garnishes, sweets, tea, and coffee for eat in or take out. Where do I get my ticket?

From June 7th at 10am until 2pm June 9th, you can present your EventBrite receipt at either the Mahone Bay Visitors Information Centre at 165 Edgewater St or Mahone Bay Museum at 578 Main St. You will be given the detailed map of the properties, which is your ticket to enter the tour properties.

What about parking?

Parking is limited at the properties.

Is photography permitted during the tour?

Photography in the homes is not permitted.

Can I bring food or drinks on the tour?

Are masks required?

In consideration of everyone's well being, if you have a cough or sneeze please wear a mask at the properties.

Can I attend the event both days?

Yes, but you are only permitted to enter a property once. You are welcome to split up the properties and visit some on both days or all in one day. Please respect the tour operation hours of 10am to 5pm.

Can I buy the ticket on the day of the event?

Yes, you can purchase a ticket on Eventbrite and exchange it in person on the day of the event or purchase the ticket in person until 2pm Sunday June 9th at the Mahone Bay Visitors Information Centre (165 Edgewater St) or Mahone Bay Museum (578 Main St).

Are there any souvenirs for this event?

Yes, we have jars of Seville Orange Marmalade and we are working on a Blossoms in the Bay t-shirt that will be available for purchase during the event at the Mahone Bay Visitors Information Centre (165 Edgewater St) or Mahone Bay Museum (578 Main St).

Is this a two day event?

This event runs for two days but you are welcome to visit all the sites in one day during the tour operation hours of 10am to 5pm.

Is this a guided tour?

Ticket holders drive to each property themselves. Once at the tour site, volunteers will provide information on the properties. The tour map will contain directions and information on the sites.

Do I need my own transportation?

Yes, you will need to drive, since a few of the sites are located just outside of Mahone Bay.

What if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event so bring your umbrella!
